Don't Breathe Too Deep

I think these are making a lot of folks miserable right now. But they are oh so lovely.

View of Death Valley

Finally some new shots.  Ronnie and I headed to Clemson with Sadie last Saturday.  We strolled in the Botanical Garden and the took a walk along the dike beside Hartwell Lake.  There is a really nice view of Death Valley from there.

Hanging Over

Taken at Falls Park in Greenville. I love the red of the Japanese Maple against the green.

Spring Dance

Took this shot at the Clemson Botanical Garden a few weeks ago. After looking back through my images tonight noticed that it looked as though these two were dancing--thus the title. Took this with my 50 mm lens. Love the depth of field I can get with the lens but sometimes I am a bit off on the focus. Not sure about the out of focus at the bottom but it does seem to portray a bit of motion. What do you think?

Anna's Iris

Iris are beautiful flowers. They just don't stick around long enough. Taken Mother's Day week-end in my sister, Anna's yard.

Lovely Tree

Since I don't have my camera I am having to go back to some of my old shots. I just learned that my camera is back at Best Buy so I will have it tomorrow. Yeah! This is a pink dogwood in my yard that was so beautiful just a few weeks ago. It is one of my favorite trees.

Bursting with Bloom

The azaleas in my yard are bursting with blooms. I love this time of year when everything is new and green and colorful.

Bursting forth

A bud from a tulip tree in my neighbor's yard. I was pleased with this shot and how the blossom in the background mirrored the bud in the foreground. I did a bit of post processing in Photoshop. Originally planned a black and white shot but it looked better with a bit of muted color.

Rain Kissed

This morning as I was taking my Sadie out for her morning routine, I notice how lovely all the blooming flowers looked in the rain. I rushed Sadie up so I could get my camera as the rain began to come down a bit harder. This is a blueberry bush that yields wonderful tasty fruit in the late summer. But now it looks lovely with its rain kissed blossoms. Made for a nice early morning shot.

Pre-spring Blossoms

The Lenten Roses in my yard are bountiful right now. They spread each year and require little care. (That is always my favorite kind of flower.) They also make a pretty picture. Spring is just days away--hopefully some nicer weather. We desperately need this rain but I do prefer a few sunny days in between. Here is another shot.
