A Wreck at The Wreck

While visiting Charleston Ronnie and I ate at a local "joint" called The Wreck.  It wasn't much of a looker but the food was great!  It is located near the mouth of Shem Creek in Mount Pleasant.  This wreck was in their back yard.  Read more about the restuarant and check if out of you are in the area. http://www.wreckrc.com/

Last One--I promise

Okay--last Jennifer and Josh shot. I had such fun taking these. Jennifer didn't love it, but Josh is an actor at heart and love working it for the camera. Thanks Josh.

Ring that Bell

From my parents garden--I guess this could be called a dinner bell. But it reminds me that those school bells will be ringing very soon!!

Budding Beauty

This is from a tree in my neighbor's yard taken in the early spring. I have always called it tulip tree--it is one of the first things to bloom each spring. But I believe it may be in the magnolia family. I was very pleased with this shot and tried my hand at a little different tone in the post processing.

Bursting forth

A bud from a tulip tree in my neighbor's yard. I was pleased with this shot and how the blossom in the background mirrored the bud in the foreground. I did a bit of post processing in Photoshop. Originally planned a black and white shot but it looked better with a bit of muted color.

Boutique

My other daughter (the one not getting married) is the manager of a small boutique in downtown Anderson. She has asked me to take shots to use on their web site. This is a shot that I took and edited in Photo Shop to give it more of an artistic feel. I have had one of my photos on a billboard for their boutique and also several on a commercial that ran on the local cable network. I have a long way to go in learning the craft of photography but it is exciting to see my shots "out there." Visit the blake & brady website--or better yet, visit the boutique. Engaged

My daughter Meredith is getting married in May. She has been engaged for 2 years to a wonderful young man named Reese. We have the opportunity to go to Death Valley (Clemson Football stadium) to take some engagement shots. This is one of my favorites. I did some editing in Photo Shop.
