Beautiful Ruins

Ruins of Sheldon Church of Prince William Parish.  Beaufort, South Carolina
The church was originally built in 1745 and 1755.  It was burned during the Revolutionary War.   The church was rebuilt in 1846 but again burned in on January 14, 1865 during the Civil War as part of Sherman's March to the Sea campaign.  What an amazing piece of history in South Carolina and well worth a visit if you are in the lower part of the state.

Lovely Lily

The drought has hit my day lilies pretty hard but there are a few that are still blooming.
One of my favorite flowers because they are so easy to grow!

Worth the Wait

Finally got my clematis to bloom.  I have been petting this plant for years.  Maybe it was worth the wait.
